Don't Miss The Tax Return Deadline
The deadline for filing your tax return is coming up, so it's time to get organised. Granted, it's another three and a half months way, but years of experience tells us it comes around than you realise. People often put it off for so long because they find this task can become overwhelming really quickly. Fear not, though! We offer tax returns from £120 per year which means you don't have to put in the effort of managing your own bookkeeping and collating and submitting your self-assessment tax return. Definitely worth the money.
What is the Tax Return Deadline?
The tax return deadline is the date by which you must file your taxes to avoid penalties, which specifically is January 31st 2022. Some people forget about this date or simply don't know it, but HMRC will charge a penalty for every month you are late filing.
Why do you need to file your tax return?
The tax deadline is January 31st - if you miss this deadline, you will face some consequences. For example, HMRC will charge you an initial £100 if your tax return is up to 3 months late. They will charge you more than this if it is later. They will then charge you interest per month on any unpaid tax or late payments. You can use the HMRC penalty calculator (yes, they have one!) to estimate how much you will need to pay in interest and in penalties if you have submitted a late payment, or haven't at all...
How do our Self-Assessment Tax Return services work?
When you sign onto our service, we will start working on your return right away. We'll need your records, such as expenses, receipts and any kind of bookkeeping or record you have been keeping as part of running your business. We will go into what else we need in a lot more detail once you're working with us, and don't worry we'll make it really simple for you, and more importantly, stress free. You can view our Tax Return page here for more information, but it probably easier to talk to Alex on [email protected]
What are the consequences of not filing your taxes?
If you fail to file your taxes, or if you fail to pay what is due, the penalties can be severe. You will not only owe the money that is owed to HMRC, but also interest (which starts accruing as soon as you’re late) and penalties.
